Hello! My name is Phil Colucci and I am the Au Pair USA Local Coordinator for the Chicago area. I work with host families near Aurora, Carol Stream, Downers Grove, Glen Ellyn, River Forest, Orland Park, Oak Park and Naperville, IL.

I really enjoy the opportunity to get to know the host families in my “cluster” here in Chicagoland and help them find that perfect au pair for their family. As a Local Coordinator, I work with each new family to answer their questions about au pairs, and then help them through the matching process, sharing my advice.

Host families join Au Pair USA for many reasons, but I think it’s mainly because it’s an affordable alternative to nannies and day care centers. The cost averages about $340 per week, with no per-child fees. Scheduling flexibility and the convenience of having child care available in your own home are also a big reason people consider au pair child care. Some of my host families were also referred by friends who were already in the program. Once they get a chance to meet some of the wonderful au pairs we have in our cluster, they see how easy it could be to bring an au pair into their home.
