My name is Kelly Guest and I’ve been the InterExchange Au Pair USA Local Coordinator here in the Cleveland and Akron, Ohio area since 2003. I became a Local Coordinator when a good friend thought it would be a perfect job for me. She was right because I really love this program!

A big part of my job as a Local Coordinator is to work directly with host families to answer their questions, assist them through the au pair matching process and to provide ongoing personal support for them and their au pairs during their year together. Many families choose to extend their programs with a favorite au pair, while others really embrace the cultural exchange aspect of the program and bring in an au pair from a different part of the world each year. Au Pair USA provides qualified, pre-screened au pairs from over 40 countries, so there are lots of choices!

Many families these days are looking for a way to encourage their children to learn another language at an early age. Hosting an au pair makes other languages and cultures fun for your family and it’s a natural way for them to learn through daily activities.

As a busy parent, you know that having reliable childcare is a must! Au pairs live as a member of your family and provide a stable, yet flexible child care schedule. Au pairs are also often a more affordable alternative to nannies or even day care. Average cost is about $340 per week, with no per-child fees.
