A warm welcome to InterExchange Au Pair USA! My name is Patricia Gilligan, and I am the Local Coordinator for the Hudson Valley cluster. To tell you a little about myself, I'm originally from Pennsylvania, but moved to the beautiful Hudson Valley to raise my two children. I'm a former Flight Attendant and have traveled all over the world so I know how important cultural exchange is and love meeting all of our international au pairs!
 
As a parent, I know how important finding quality child care is for working families. Many of the families in this area commute into New York City and need reliable, flexible child care coordinated around their schedules.  Families are also surprised to hear that hosting an au pair is also a very affordable child care option, especially for families with two or more children. The average cost of hosting an au pair is just $340 per week, which covers up to 45 hours of reliable child care for your entire family.

All of the au pairs in our program undergo rigorous screening and background checks before being accepted into the program. We pre-screen and test our au pair candidates for English ability and make sure they have great driving skills. Our placement teams work with each individual family throughout the entire matching process to listen to your needs and find the best au pair for you.
