Hello! My name is Robin Winter-Bailey and I am the Au Pair USA Local Coordinator in Northern New Jersey. I work with host families based in Essex, Union and Middlesex Counties, and my “cluster” area covers most of Newark, Edison, Plainfield, Short Hills, South Orange, Maplewood, Milburn, Livingston and New Brunswick, NJ.

I started with InterExchange Au Pair USA back in 1995 after my family—which includes my husband and two children— joined Au Pair USA as a host family. Over the years, we’ve hosted 7 wonderful au pairs from all over the world. It was a great experience, and the relationships we developed with our former au pairs and their families will last forever. We have even been fortunate enough to visit several of our au pairs back in their home countries of Norway, Sweden, England, Ireland, Holland and Germany.

Being a host family is a fun cultural exchange experience, but it’s also an easy way to make live-in child care affordable! Hosting a pre-screened and experienced au pair costs about $340 per week, with no extra per-child fees. It’s simply a more flexible child care option, giving you more control over the quality of your children’s care. Plus, if you’re a busy parent (as most of us are!) live-in au pairs give you the flexibility to schedule child care hours according to your family’s needs.
