Hello! My name is Hope Becker and I’m the InterExchange Au Pair USA Local Coordinator for the North Shore of Long Island and Queens. I live in Old Bethpage, Long Island with my two children.

I do my very best to help au pairs and host families have a great experience during their year together, so a big part of my role as Local Coordinator is to personally work with each host family to help them match with an au pair who will fit well into their family. We talk about your schedule, your activities, and what kind of expectations you have for live-in child care to make sure the program is right for your family. Once you join the program, I will be happy to assist you through the matching process and give you any advice you need. In fact, I’m always available to help answer questions throughout your program year, and I’m just a local phone call away.

Another part of my job as Local Coordinator is to ensure that au pairs are also getting the most out of their cultural exchange program. I spend quality time with the au pairs each month, organizing fun activities, and letting the au pairs meet and get to know each other. I believe it’s important for au pairs to have an opportunity to have some fun and hopefully form new friendships while they’re here in the U.S.
