Hello! I’m Peggy Dixon, and I’m the Local Coordinator for the Philadelphia “Main Line” and Chester County, Pennsylvania areas. My cluster of host families also extends to Wilmington, Delaware. Our cluster is a very friendly and welcoming group and we would love to have your family join our “family”!

I love being a Local Coordinator for many reasons, but mainly because our family is very involved in cultural exchange! To give you a little bit of my background: I lived in Brussels, Belgium for several years after college and traveled widely throughout Europe on my own. My husband and I have four children who have all traveled and lived outside the United States. Our youngest daughter studied in Seville, Spain and we’ve hosted many of her Spanish friends at our home in appreciation of their hospitality. Another daughter spent several years in the Peace Corps, serving in Turkmenistan and Morocco.

I enjoy assisting host families and au pairs throughout their time together to ensure that everyone has the best experience possible. Hosting an au pair isn’t just about cultural exchange. It’s also a way for your family to get dependable, flexible and affordable child care in your own home. Cost averages around $340 per week, plus all the au pairs are pre-screened with references, so you get to choose from some outstanding child care providers! One of our au pairs just won the 2010 IAPA Au Pair of the Year award!
