Hello! My name is Jolene Leonardo and I have been the Suffolk County, Long Island Local Coordinator for InterExchange Au Pair USA since 2003. I have lived on Long Island my entire life, and my host family “cluster” area covers most of Suffolk County and the Hamptons, including the Huntington Station, Islip, Port Jefferson, Sag Harbor and Stony Brook areas.

I’d like to tell you a little bit about myself. Prior to staying home to raise my four children, I worked at a Management Consulting firm in New York City for several years. As a Local Coordinator for Au Pair USA, my job now is to support the relationship between host families and their au pairs. I will become your personal and local representative with Au Pair USA, and am available to answer your questions or assist you during the au pair selection process. I’ve been so fortunate to get to work with lots of wonderful host families and au pairs over the years, and I’m very proud that many families opt to stay in the program for multiple years because they get so much out of the child care services and the host family experience.

Hosting an au pair is a wonderful way to open your family up to new cultures and languages, but it’s also a great way to save on your child care costs. Live-in au pairs can provide a lot of stability in your child’s life, yet au pairs often cost less than a live-in nanny.
