Find Your Family's Ideal Au Pair
Au Pair Placement with New Host Families
Your au pair will live with you for at least a year, so it’s important to choose someone who fits in with your family’s personality, lifestyle, and child care needs. Au Pair USA’s placement process makes your decision easier. We pre-screen and interview every au pair and evaluate which candidates will be the best match with your family.
Unlike many other au pair programs, Au Pair USA never uses computer matching. Instead, our experienced professionals personally review au pair profiles and select the best applicants for your review. Plus, our exclusive matching process guarantees that only one family at a time reviews an au pair. That means you don’t have to rush your decision or compete with another family for an au pair.
No matter what, you have final say over who you hire. Most of host families select an au pair after reviewing 2 or 3 profiles, but you may evaluate as many candidates as you wish. We will work with you as long as necessary to find a perfect au pair for your family.

Already Found an Au Pair?
If you’ve already found an au pair on your own, Au Pair USA can help bring that individual to the United States through our Pre-Match program.
Both the family and the au pair applicant must meet the same eligibility requirements as others participating in the program. Moreover, to ensure a smooth process and to avoid visa delays, your pre-matched au pair will need to go through the same application and screening procedures as all other au pairs in our program.
If you would like to participate in the pre-match program, call us at 1-800-Au-Pairs (1-800-287-2477) or email us and we will help you get your applicant in touch with the representative in her/his home country. Au Pair USA’s experienced staff will be happy to help you throughout the application process.
Add Value with Extension Programs
If your family is highly satisfied after your first year, why not consider our extension program? Many Au Pair USA host families choose to extend their au pair’s stay for 6, 9 or 12 additional months. Not only do your children benefit from having a consistent childcare provider, but you’ll actually see your child care costs go down.
You will continue to pay your au pair the same weekly stipend and an educational stipend as well as save hundreds of dollars in reduced program rates.
If your family is interested in an extension program, you will need to fill out and submit an application at least 40 days before the extension period will begin. The U.S. Department of State must approve the request, so it’s important to adhere to these deadlines.
