How Camp USA Works

InterExchange has decades of experience bringing international summer camp staff to the USA. Each year, we help hundreds of camps recruit and hire enthusiastic young adults for counselor jobs and support staff positions. We also provide J-1 Visa sponsorship for international participants who have already been hired by American summer camps.

All InterExchange Camp USA Participants are:

  • Between the ages of 19 and 28
  • A student, teacher, youth worker, or have specialized skills
  • A university student, if applying for support staff positions
  • Proficient in English
  • Highly motivated
  • Able to participate in the program for 8 to 15 weeks

Camp Directors

If you’re looking for talented staff members, check out our Camp Staff Placement program. If you’ve already hired international staff, then our Direct Placement / J-1 Visa Sponsorship program is a great no-cost option for you.

International Participants

If you meet the requirements above, and want to find a camp job in the USA, then learn more about our Camp Staff Placement program. Already have a job? Then let us provide your J-1 Visa Sponsorship.

What Our Camp Directors Say

“The InterExchange group makes getting quality international staff very easy. They are always there, and are very knowledgeable about the process of getting staff into the US. I have been working with InterExchange for the last 9 summers, and can’t imagine trying to get our foreign staff to camp without them.”

~ Pete S, Raquette Lake Camps, New York

What Our Participants Say

"I want to thank you for making my trip a success and for being part of my experience. I have learned a lot at camp. I have learned to touch people's lives, I have learned to express myself and come out of my shell, and I have learned how to make a difference in people's lives. One camper's family thanked me for changing their grandson's life after camp and told me how happy and different he was after camp. That was when I realized that I have achieved something that I will never trade for anything in life."
