Explanation of Fees for all Regular Participants

InterExchange is a non-profit organization, which lets us keep our fees as low as possible for both participants and camps. Our minimal fees cover comprehensive services, from your orientation, to J-1 Visa sponsorship, to 24-hour support the entire time you are in the USA. Following is a breakdown of costs for participants in our Camp Staff Placement Program:

Program Fee
$165
Insurance Fee
$150
SEVIS Fee
$35
Visa Application Fee
Variable, payable directly to the U.S. Department of State
International Cooperator Fee
Variable, paid directly to the cooperator in your home country

Support staff is responsible for paying the InterExchange program fees. We provide two payment options for the convenience of our participants.

What is an International Cooperator?

International cooperators are independent individuals or agencies based in countries outside the USA. InterExchange works with a wide network of cooperators in order to recruit the best candidates for camp jobs. They’re your first point of contact when you apply to the program. Your cooperator will pre-screen your application and may invite you to an interview and orientation session.

What is the SEVIS Fee?

The SEVIS fee is required by the U.S. Department of State. It helps to cover the costs of tracking your program in the government’s Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS). InterExchange can’t print your DS-2019 form until we receive your SEVIS fee. We will provide you with a SEVIS receipt, which you must bring to the U.S. embassy in your country as proof of payment.
