Our Matching Process

You want to find a job that suits your skills, experience, and interests. We want to match you with a camp that you’ll truly enjoy. Our matching process is designed to help set you up for a great summer of work experience. Here’s how it works:

  1. Interview and Orientation: Once you’re accepted to the program, you’ll attend an interview and orientation session in your home country.
  2. Matching: We’ll review available camp jobs and match you with positions that we believe you’ll be well-suited for. When matching you, we consider a variety of factors, including:
  • Your dates of availability
  • Your skills and experience
  • Your personality
  • Your English ability

Once we make a match, we’ll send your application to the camp director for review.

  1. Review: The camp director can review your application for up to five days before making a hiring decision.
  2. Job Offer: If the camp director decides to hire you, we’ll contact you with a job offer. If the director does not wish to hire you, we’ll try to match you with another position.
  3. Confirmation: When you accept a camp’s job offer, you need to return a signed commitment letter to the camp and InterExchange. If you decide not to go to a camp, you will need to have a good reason for this. We will try to place you at another camp, but cannot guarantee a second placement.
