Program Details

As a Participant in Work & Travel New Zealand you’ll receive:

  • Assistance obtaining a visa. InterExchange will apply for the visa on your behalf.
  • Welcome on arrival at the airport in Auckland. A representative will meet and escort you to one the best hostels in town where you stay free for two nights; breakfast is included (extra nights available for $21 per night)
  • An orientation session with useful information on rights and obligations while working in New Zealand
  • Assistance in opening a bank account and getting a local tax file number
  • Access to a job referral service
  • A weekly e-newsletter with job notices
  • Advice on accommodation options throughout New Zealand

To participate in Work & Travel New Zealand, you must:

  • Be between the ages of 18 and 30 and in good health
  • Be a U.S. or Canadian citizen
  • Meet requirements for the Working Holiday Visa
