Making A Global Difference

At InterExchange, we believe in that every young person has the power to change their communities and promote cultural understanding. Our Foundation was started in 2007 to support young U.S. citizens who want to do meaningful work in a country and culture outside of their own, and return to the U.S. with new professional and cultural knowledge to impact their own communities.

Congratulations to our 2012 Christianson Grant awardees!

Kristin B. - Kristin will be working for the Apne Aap and Women Worldwide organizations in New Delhi, India for 1 year. She will focus on education and lend her professional and personal skills as a Communications Intern, as well as promote women's empowerment. 

Leslie R. - Leslie was awarded a Christianson Grant for her year-long committment with Generation Rwanda, and organization based in Kigali, Rwanda. There, she will work as an English Language Associate for her new community. 

Lauren T. - Lauren will be working for 13 months in Playa Samara and Guanacaste, Costa Rica with La Asociacion CREAR. There, she will help assess community needs as well as assist with grant writing and program planning and management.

Our grant recipients have made substantial contributions to valuable programs and projects around the world—from education in Nicaragua to journalism in Israel to ecology in Australia. By providing financial assistance to talented candidates, we hope to encourage young Americans to discover the world and benefit from the unique and enriching insights one can only gain from living and working abroad.
