Q. How can InterExchange help me find an internship placement?
A. Please contact our office and we may be able to help you. Currently, we have placements in the hospitality, information technology, and business management fields. We will soon offer programs in Accounting and Finance, Advertising, Sales and Marketing, and Engineering.

 

Q.  How do I apply for the Internship Placement Program?
A.  All directions for applying for the Internship Placement Program are available in the downloadable application in the "Resource" field.  Should you need further assistance, feel free to contact InterExchange at training@interexchange.org.

 

Q. Does the employer provide housing?
A. Employers do not have to provide housing, but many employers will give you information about affordable housing in the local area close the site of training.

 

Q. Can you place me in a large city such as New York or Los Angeles?
A. We have placements all over the US, including major metropolitan areas.

 

Q. I need a work visa. Should I apply to the International Internship program?
A. No. The International Professional Training program issues a J-1 Visa that is intended for purposes of training only. The Practical Training program is not intended to substitute for a work visa (H Visa). Use of a J-1 Visa issued by the International Practical Training program for purposes other than training is a violation of U.S. immigration law. For more information regarding the work visa (H Visa), please visit www.uscis.gov
