Q. I have already found a host employer in the U.S. What is the next step?
A. Review the J-1 Visa Sponsorship page for details about program eligibility. If you meet all our requirements, you can submit an application to our office for review.

Q. How long does it take to review my application?
A. We currently have a 30-day review period for complete applications.

Q. My host employer has asked me to start my internship next week. Is there time for me to apply?
A. No. The length of the application process for the International Practical Training program depends on a number of factors, including the completeness of the application. InterExchange strongly recommends that self-arranged applicants submit their applications at least six weeks prior to the date on which they intend to begin their training.
