Camp USA Launches Camp Director’s Website with Secure Personal Pages for Camps
NEW YORK, New York – April 2004— InterExchange Camp USA announces the launch of their camp director’s website, with secure online personal home pages for each registered camp. The website allows U.S. summer camp directors to accept or reject international summer camp counselors and support staff, edit their camp's information, view camp counselor applications, and check their account status and applicants’ J-1 Exchange Visitor Visa status in real-time.
“With the successful launch of the new website, registered camp directors across America now have quick, easy, and free access to their accounts with InterExchange Camp USA. It only takes a few minutes to register online, and we made the process very easy. Through this new technology, camp directors can review counselor and support staff applications online whenever they choose, day or night. Directors registered in our Pre-Placed program can check the status of their pre-hired counselors’ applications. The added convenience for camp directors is unprecedented,” noted Michelle Gottlieb, Program Manager of InterExchange Camp USA.
InterExchange Camp USA assists camp directors who need staff, by recruiting, placing, and sponsoring international students and youth workers at U.S. summer camps. Participants work as support staff or counselors for 8-15 weeks, and receive a small stipend, round-trip transatlantic airfare from European hubs, and the opportunity to travel the U.S. for one month upon completion of the program. The Camp USA Pre-Placed program allows camp directors to recruit their own staff, with the benefit of U.S. J-1 Visa sponsorship by InterExchange Camp USA. InterExchange Camp USA is a member of the American Camping Association.
