InterExchange Foundation Announce Work Abroad Grant Details
InterExchange Foundation Begins Accepting Grant Applications
New York – June 2007 – The InterExchange Foundation (http://www.interexchange.org) announces the availability of work abroad grants to help young Americans cover the cost of traveling abroad on work exchange programs. Awards are available to eligible Americans who wish to experience new cultures through meaningful work experiences.
Two grant options are available:
- Working Abroad Grant - for accepted participants of InterExchange Working Abroad (www.WorkingAbroad.org) programs
- Christianson Grant - for applicants who have designed their own programs
Awards are intended to defray the costs of transportation, fees, insurance, housing, and meals related to a work, internship, or volunteer abroad program.
"By providing financial assistance to eligible recipients, the InterExchange Foundation aims to do its part in encouraging young Americans to pursue work and life experiential programs abroad," said InterExchange associate director Patsy Kng.
The InterExchange Foundation Grant Program was established in 2006 to provide grants to young Americans who wish to further cultural awareness through meaningful work abroad experiences. Preference will be given to those who demonstrate financial need and an interest in cultural exchange.
