Work & Travel USA Full Service Placement Program
Work & Travel USA is designated by the U.S. Department of State to sponsor international students as participants on the J-1 Work and Travel program. The program provides U.S. employers with a unique seasonal staffing solution, while allowing international students an inexpensive way to visit the U.S. by working and traveling during their school breaks. There is no charge for employers who participate in the program. International Students pay job placement fees and their own transportation costs.
How the Placement Program Works
For International Students to Work in the U.S.:
Complete our Information Request Form and we will send you contact information for your home country.
For U.S. Employers:
- Complete our short On-Line Employer Registration Form or download and print the Employer Application.
- We’ll send you profiles of students who meet your needs, and you tell us whom you want to hire.
- We do the rest.
Work & Travel USA selects only the most rigorously screened, English-proficient, and hard-working students available. Participants are admitted based on personality, attitude, and adaptability. We use an extensive application, conduct personal interviews in the student’s home country, and make the information we learn available to employers during the selection process. Students attend an orientation session in their home country and in the U.S., where they are given information on realistic living and working conditions.
Full support is provided to employers and participants throughout the entire season.
