SEVIS

Welcome to the United States! InterExchange is here to help you with the Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS). SEVIS is a United States Government computerized system that collects and manages data about all international students and exchange visitors during their stays, including InterExchange participants. SEVIS tells the U.S. government where you live, where you work, and your legal status during your program.

Please find your program listed below and follow the SEVIS registration instructions described: 

Work & Travel USA

  • You must register your information in SEVIS no later than 10 days after arriving in the USA.
  • If you change your address during your time in the USA or if you switch jobs, you must update your SEVIS information within 10 days. (Remember: All job changes must be screened and approved by InterExchange before you start work.)
  • You must also check-in every 30 days to maintain your active status on the program, even if your information hasn’t changed.

Failure to register or check-in may result in termination from the program.

Au Pair USA

Au pairs: The InterExchange Au Pair USA office handles all SEVIS forms on your behalf. You do not need to register from this page.

Camp USA

Camp counselors and staff: The InterExchange Camp USA office handles all SEVIS forms on your behalf. You do not need to register from this page. Call our offices 1.800.597.1722 to register in SEVIS or to answer any questions.  

Career Training USA

Interns and Trainees: The InterExchange Career Training USA team will email you with information about SEVIS once you arrive in the U.S. You do not need to register from this page.
