Experience American Life with InterExchange

InterExchange Work & Travel USA is without a doubt one of the best ways to experience life in the United States. As a participant in the program, you’ll be able to find out what it’s really like to live, work, and travel in the U.S. You’ll be able to stay in the country for up to 4 months, which will give you enough time to make friends, improve your English skills, and experience American culture firsthand.

We guarantee we will find you a job with a reputable employer in the United States. If you already have a job, we can still serve as your J-1 Visa sponsor.

To be eligible for the program, you must be:

  • A full-time college or university student
  • Between the ages of 18 and 28
  • Proficient in English (both written and spoken)
  • Able to work for at least 3 months
  • Enthusiastic, motivated, and mature

Work for up to 4 months in the winter, spring, or summer. Opportunities are available at a variety of businesses, including resorts, hotels, restaurants, amusement parks, retail stores, and more.

At the end of your work commitment, you’ll enjoy the opportunity to travel the U.S. for up to a month.

What InterExchange Does for You

InterExchange is a non-profit organization that is designated by the U.S. Department of State to sponsor J-1 Visa Exchange Visitor programs. When you participate in our Work & Travel USA program, InterExchange will:

  • Match you with an appropriate employer (unless you already have a job)
  • Serve as your J-1 Visa sponsor
  • Assist with processing your J-1 Visa paperwork
  • Provide an orientation session before you leave for the U.S. and upon arrival
  • Help you apply for a Social Security Number
  • Assist you in getting accident and sickness insurance
  • Provide emergency assistance and general support while you’re in the U.S.

Find out how it works.

What Our Participants Say

“If you are still a student and have a chance to participate in this program, just do it! This program gives a good chance to see absolutely another world and another life, to meet a lot of friends, to feel that you are already an adult who is able to earn money and make decisions by yourself.”

~Anastasiya T., Russia

“[Our employers] were very attentive to us. They helped us with everything and they were like a family for us.”

~Olga V., Kazakhstan
