Work & Travel USA Self-Arranged J-1 Visa Sponsorship Program

 

The Work & Travel USA Self-Arranged J-1 Visa Sponsorship program allows seasonal staff and employers to make their own employment arrangements.  Seasonal staff and employers communicate directly and determine arrival and departure dates, travel details, and make arrangements for the student’s Social Security number.

 

To Participate

Employers

Complete the Employment Agreement form or provide an official employment offer on company letterhead that clearly states:

• Company contact name and address
• Job title and description
• Number of hours to be worked per week and salary
• Brief description of housing to be provided or available in the area
• Length of employment

The Employment Agreement form or Employment Letter should then be sent directly to the student.

International Staff

Bring the document sent by your employer, along with other required documents, to our international cooperator in their home country.  Complete our International Staff Information Request Form for local contact information.
