Information for Study Abroad Advisors

Each year, tens of thousands of students embark on study abroad programs. Far fewer take the opportunity to break out of an academic setting. Yet working and living abroad can be a profoundly valuable experience—from both a professional and personal perspective.

The InterExchange Foundation was established to allow talented young Americans the opportunity to discover the world by working, interning, and volunteering overseas. Through our grants, we provide financial assistance to individuals who otherwise may not be able to engage in the unique and enriching experience of living and working abroad for a substantial period of time.

Give your students the valuable opportunity to advance their careers, explore the world and give back to the global community. Tell them about the InterExchange Foundation.

Our Grant Programs

We provide two grant options to young Americans between the ages of 18 and 28:

  • Working Abroad Grant: This $1,500 grant is awarded to highly qualified participants in the InterExchange Working Abroad program. Learn more.
  • Christianson Grant: A $2,500 - $10,000 grant awarded to a participant in a self-arranged work abroad program. Learn more.

For more information on our grant programs or other InterExchange Working Abroad opportunities for college and university students, please call 212-924-0446 or email us.
