Teach English in Thailand

A stunning country with a proud history and noble cultural heritage, Thailand is a truly amazing background for international teaching jobs. This paid teaching English program is a fantastic way to experience the real Thailand—from its strong Buddhist influences to its delectable cuisine, to the renowned generosity and hospitality of the Thai people.

Program Details

During your first two weeks in Thailand, you’ll attend teacher training in the riverside village of Tha-kan, 75 miles north of Bangkok. This training period will provide you with the necessary English teaching theories, techniques and practices in an intercultural context.  You will also learn basic Thai language skills and essential knowledge of Thai culture. Upon completion of the training, you’ll receive a certificate in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL).

After orientation and teacher training, you will start with your placement, which may be anywhere in Thailand. Most placements are close to larger cities, like Bangkok, and most teaching positions are in private schools teaching children ages 8-16. You will teach for approximately 20-30 hours per week and will receive a monthly salary between 14,000 and 24,000 Thai Baht (about $400-680 USD).

As a Participant in Teach in Thailand, you’ll receive:

  • Help obtaining visa/work permit
  • Airport pickup upon arrival

  • Services and support of field staff
  • Guaranteed placement upon successful completion of the training program
