Teach English in China

China, the world's third largest country, is rich in ancient culture and history. Today, China is known for its bustling modern cities such as Beijing and Shanghai. With its emergence as a powerful economic, political and cultural force, China is one of the most fascinating places to live and work abroad. In addition to experiencing Chinese culture first-hand, you’ll earn your Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) certification. Plus, you’ll have the benefit of enhancing your own Chinese language skills—skills that are prized by employers in English-speaking countries.

Program Details

As a teacher intern on the Teach and Travel China program you will spend your first four weeks participating in a Training & Orientation Program in Beijing. This comprehensive program will include TEFL training, an orientation to China and Mandarin lessons. Accommodations and meals are provided.

After successful completion of the Training & Orientation, you will be placed in a Chinese school (with at least one other participant). Placements are located throughout China. Your room and board will be provided. You’ll receive a monthly stipend, room and board. At the end of successful completion of your teaching placement, you will receive your TEFL certificate.
