Volunteer in Argentina

Most of our Argentina volunteer placements are based in or near Buenos Aires, the country’s capital. Home to about 13 million people, Buenos Aires is a cosmopolitan city, boasting beautiful architecture, a bustling economy and a modern infrastructure—including a good public transportation system. The birthplace of the tango, Buenos Aires is also the cultural heart of Argentina and is frequently called the “Paris of South America.”

Program Details

We offer placements with volunteer projects in a variety of fields including:

  • Social work
  • Education
  • Cultural work
  • Tourism
  • Hospitality

When you apply to the program, you may indicate your preferred area of volunteer work. Upon your acceptance, we will work with you to determine a volunteer placement that best meets your skills, talents, and interests. Previous volunteers have worked with social work agencies, orphanages, cultural institutions, HIV/AIDS clinics, and many other organizations.

As a Volunteer in Argentina, you’ll receive:

  • Application processing and program support
  • An intensive four-week Spanish course in Belgrano (a residential neighborhood of Buenos Aires)
