  • Select the participant’s name under the “Training Plans” tab
  • Complete Company Basics, Program Information, and Compensation
  • Sign the Host Agreement
  • Ask the day-to-day supervisor to sign the Training Plan phase(s) then send the Training Plan to the participant for review by clicking the blue “Send Training Plan to Participant” button
  • Program fees are charged to the participant but you are welcome to pay on behalf of your intern/trainee. Please review the refund schedule on our Costs page if you do decide to pay the program fees
  • Check-in with the participant to confirm they’ve completed the participant application and submitted the application for review
  • Your participant must complete their portion of the application, sign the Training Plan, pay the application fee, and officially submit the application before InterExchange will begin our review process
  • Once we have a complete application, our review process is 10 days. Be on the lookout for emails from InterExchange during the process, including for:

    • Host Onboarding Call: if you are a new supervisor with InterExchange, we will hold a 10-15 minute call to go over program requirements
    • Application or Training Plan questions: the reviewer will reach out to you if there is any additional information or revisions needed to the DS-7002 Training Plan
    • Site Visit (if required): if your company requires a site visit, we will reach out to schedule the visit at your convenience
    • Remaining program fees payment (if applicable): program fees are charged to the participant but you are welcome to pay on behalf of your intern/trainee
  • If we’re able to approve the application, we’ll send this decision to you and your participant via email. We will also issue the DS-2019 Form, which your participant will use to schedule their visa interview at the U.S. embassy
