New Christianson Fellowship Awardees Announced

We are pleased to announce our newest Christianson Fellowship awardees:
Philip Issa
Philip, a graduate of Swarthmore College, has been awarded the Christianson Fellowship from the InterExchange Foundation for his work with the microfinance organization Kiva in Ramallah, West Bank.
Currently in Ramallah for eight months, the Economics major is using his knowledge of finance and business to help small business owners in the impoverished city receive low-interest loans through Kiva's partners there.
Natalia, a recent graduate of the University of Maryland Carey School of Law and an undergraduate of Barnard College, has been awarded the Christianson Fellowship from the InterExchange Foundation for her future work with the refugee advocacy group People Against Suffering, Oppression and Poverty (PASSOP) in Cape Town, South Africa.
Starting in September, Natalia will be in Cape Town for 9 months. The law school graduate will be working on various refugee rights projects, as well as doing legal research on South African law and giving legal consultations to refugees.
Mirno Pasquali
The recent graduate of Allegheny College in Meadville, PA, has been awarded the Christianson Fellowship from the InterExchange Foundation for his future work with the international development organization CHF International in India.
The Environmental Studies and Political Science major is using his knowledge of urban waste management and best sustainable practices to help the lowest caste members in the slums of Pune, India better meet their basic needs. Mirno will leave in September.
