Studying electrical engineering as a Bachelor’s degree candidate at the University of Applied Sciences in Koblenz, Germany, Yazan is now spending six months as an intern training at SciGlob Instruments and Services, LLC in Columbia, Maryland. Yazan is originally from Syria.

In 2022, our exchange program participants proudly represented 94 countries including the United States.

From researching cell cytotoxicity in a molecular biology lab to having technical discussions with electrical engineers, Career Training USA interns and trainees are completing amazing programs in STEM!

In 2022, InterExchange focused on rebuilding our programs and welcoming participants from many cultures from around the world—including the inaugural Ambassadors Fund for Summer Work Travel cohort—to participate in life-changing experiences across the U.S.

All exchange participants who earn income in the U.S. will pay taxes and are required to file a tax return for the calendar year (or years) during which they worked. After you submit your tax return, you may get some of your taxes back. We’ve created a timeline of what you’ll need to do for taxes throughout your program.
