Pre-Departure Information

Orientation Details

The predeparture orientation is an extremely important and mandatory part of the InterExchange Camp USA program. Prior to leaving their home countries, participants receive an orientation given by our IC and access to a mandatory online orientation.

During orientation, we cover practical and serious topics such as insurance coverage, Social Security cards, emergency support and SEVIS. In addition to presenting the benefits of this cultural exchange experience and encouraging participants to engage with Americans and other new people during the program, we also address adjustment issues, both cultural and work-related, that participants can expect at camp. All participants must attend the full orientation, before arriving in the U.S.
