New Jersey
The Garden State
New Jersey
New Jersey is located between New York City and Philadelphia (both are easy day trips!). The weather stays comfortable most of the year. Winters get cold with some snow. Summers are warm and humid, perfect for beach trips.
Most people know New Jersey for the Jersey Shore. It has beautiful beaches and fun boardwalks. Cape May is a charming Victorian seaside town that feels peaceful and historic. Atlantic City offers casinos, entertainment, and the classic American boardwalk with games, food, and ocean views.
The state has impressive historical sites. You can walk through the Battleship New Jersey – a real warship from World War II. Revolutionary War battlefields show where important American history happened. New Jersey also has beautiful gardens and mountain areas for hiking. Many visitors don’t expect mountains here, but they look stunning in fall when leaves change colors.
Getting around needs planning. Rent a car for the most freedom. Buses and trains connect major cities. New Jersey Transit works well and connects to New York City and Philadelphia. The state offers much more variety than people expect. It makes a perfect base for exploring the Northeast region.
