Fees and Refunds

The fees you charge and the refunds you permit a participant must be submitted to InterExchange and approved before the application process can begin. Any fees charged to the IC by InterExchange are outlined in your individual IC Agreement. All possible fees and refunds must be disclosed to participants before they submit their applications.

You may offer discounts for your participants. If you choose to do so, below are some examples of potential incentives:

  • Early bird discount for Camp Placement participants between October 1 and January 1
  • Refer-a-friend discount
  • Black Friday sales
  • Discounts for applicants who came through another organization last year.

Participant Stipends

What Counselors Earn at Camp

Minimum Stipend (pre-tax)

First Time at their Camp

Returning to their Camp

$2,750USD

Minimum stipends are based on a nine-week (63-day) schedule. If they work more (or less) than 63 days, they would be paid a minimum daily rate of at least $35.75 for their first summer and a minimum daily rate of at least $43.75 if they are returning to camp.

Other Costs

Below are some additional fees that participants will encounter that are not paid to InterExchange but are required to participate in the program.
