Each month has a new challenge. Enter as many as you want. There is no application and no selection. If you post, you are in.

Challenge #1: Celebrate the World Cup

The World Cup is in America this summer, and so are you. Show us how you are experiencing it with the Americans around you. Watching a match with your host family. Teaching a coworker the rules. Celebrating a goal with your campers.

The 4th of July hits different this year: America is turning 250. Show us how you’re soaking up the celebration with the Americans: a hometown parade, local festival, a cookout with your host

How to enter

All steps are required to win.

Step 1

You must follow @InterExchange on Instagram or TikTok.

Step 2

Post a video or photo carousel on Instagram or TikTok. Single photos do not count.

Step 3

Tag @InterExchange in your post.

Prizes

Three winners are chosen for each monthly challenge. Each winner receives a $50 gift card and is featured on InterExchange channels. Winners are selected by the InterExchange marketing team based on creativity, relevance, and how well the entry shows cultural exchange.

Questions

Can I enter more than one challenge?

Yes. Each month is separate. Enter every one. (Sorry, but Cultural Quest Creators cannot enter).

Can I post on both Instagram and TikTok?

Yes. Post wherever you like, but remember to tag us so we see it or it won’t count.

What kind of posts work best?

Show real moments with real people. Reactions, conversations, and the moment two cultures meet.

Who can enter?

Cultural Quest is open to current InterExchange participants in the Au Pair, Camp, Work & Travel, and Career Training programs.

Terms & Conditions for the 2026 Cultural Quest For All Contest

  1. Introduction
The Cultural Side Quests Contest (“Contest”) is sponsored by InterExchange, Inc. (“Sponsor”). The Contest is designed to encourage J-1 Exchange Visitors to explore and share American cultural experiences throughout the summer.
  1. Eligibility
This Contest is open to individuals who are at least 18 years of age and who are, during the Contest Period, active participants in good standing of a J-1 Visa Exchange Visitor program for which the Sponsor is the visa sponsor, and who are registered users of TikTok or Instagram. Employees, officers, directors, and immediate family members of the Sponsor and its affiliated entities are not eligible to win prizes.
  1. Contest Period
The Contest begins at 12:00:00 a.m. EDT on June 15, 2026 and ends at 11:59:59 p.m. EDT on September 30, 2026 (“Contest Period”). The Contest is divided into multiple entry cycles. Each cycle’s submission window, which may last between two (2) and four (4) weeks, will be announced by the Sponsor alongside the corresponding video prompt.
  1. How to Enter
No purchase or pre-registration is required. During each announced entry cycle, eligible participants may submit an entry by posting an original video to their public TikTok or Instagram account using the hashtag #CulturalQuest2026, tagging @InterExchange, and sharing the post via direct message to the platform’s official InterExchange account. Videos must be posted within the dates specified for that cycle. Entries submitted outside the designated cycle window are not eligible.
  1. Contest Rules
Entry submissions must:
  • Be original videos created by the entrant.
  • Reflect the video prompt announced by the Sponsor for that cycle.
  • Be posted to a public TikTok or Instagram account accessible to the Sponsor for the duration of the Contest Period and for no fewer than 30 days after the Contest Period ends.
  • Include the hashtag #CulturalQuest2026 and a tag to the InterExchange account on that platform.
  • Be in English or include an English caption or description.
  • Not contain content that violates or infringes upon the rights of any third party.
  • Not contain content that violates federal, state, or local laws, or the rules and regulations applicable to U.S. Department of State Exchange Visitor programs.
  • Comply with the terms of service of the platform on which they are posted.
  1. Judging
Each cycle will have one (1) winner. Entries will be evaluated by a panel of InterExchange staff based on creativity and adherence to the announced theme. All judging decisions are final.
  1. Prizes
Each cycle winner will receive one (1) gift card valued at $100 USD. The form of the gift card may vary based on the winner’s location. The total number of prizes awarded will equal the number of completed contest cycles. Prizes are non-transferable and have no cash value. All taxes on prizes are the sole responsibility of the winner.
  1. Winner Notification
Winners will be notified via direct message on the platform through which their entry was submitted within ten (10) days of each cycle’s close. Winners may be required to provide verification of eligibility and complete applicable prize documentation within seven (7) days of notification. Failure to respond within that period may result in forfeiture of the prize.
  1. License
By entering, participants grant InterExchange, Inc. an irrevocable, perpetual, royalty-free right to use, reproduce, and publish their entry for promotional purposes across any medium.
  1. General Conditions
Participation constitutes the entrant’s full agreement to these Official Rules and the Sponsor’s decisions, which are final in all matters related to the Contest. Participation does not constitute a contract of employment with the Sponsor. Information collected through this Contest will be used in accordance with the Sponsor’s Privacy Policy, available at interexchange.org/privacy-policy.
  1. Limitation of Liability
Entrants agree to release, indemnify, and hold harmless InterExchange, Inc. and its agents from any claims arising from participation in the Contest or from the acceptance, use, or misuse of any prize.
  1. Governing Law
This Contest is governed by the laws of the State of New York. Any disputes arising from this Contest shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in New York County, New York.
  1. Right to Modify or Cancel
The Sponsor reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel this Contest at any time for any reason. In such event, the Sponsor may select winners from eligible entries received prior to cancellation.
