Try to apply at least 3 months prior to your desired start date. For later submissions contact us. We'll review your application and reach out within a couple of business days to set up a video call and discuss the next steps.
2. Match with Host Families
Once we've sent your application abroad, you’ll have an opportunity to connect with potential host families over email and/or video chat to make sure that you're both happy with the match. You'll have access to interviewing tips to guide the conversation. It typically takes a few weeks to match with a host family.
Once a match is confirmed, we’ll provide information on applying for your visa (long-term programs only), booking flights, purchasing insurance, and preparing to travel. We'll also send you some fun resources on life as an au pair in France. The visa for long-term participants requires that you enroll in French language classes during your program and we can provide information on meeting this requirement.
Placements last between 2 and 12 months. Please note that short-term placements in France are limited in availability and typically only in the summer.
