“Falling in love with a city and a family”

I decided to be an au pair because I needed a break from school, family, and my social life in America. I thought me coming to Spain to take care of Carmen would be doing the same daily activities while just living with my host family. To my surprise it is so much more. Everyday is different, we can stay inside, go outside, go to the parks, or just explore Sevilla. She has captured my heart and made me care for another human being a way nobody else has. And as for the family, when I first moved here I was scared that I wouldn’t like them or that it would be awkward, but instead it’s the most welcoming and kind family I’ve ever met. They make me feel so at home and comfortable with anything and everything I do!
