First you’ll need to complete an easy enrollment online. When you’re ready, submit, and we’ll contact you to go over the program in more detail and answer any questions you have.
You'll choose between the Home Tutor Program and the School Teaching Assistant Program. Please keep in mind the following program dates.

2. Connect with host families and schools
Once we've sent your application abroad, we'll work on your host family placement (this can take a few weeks, especially if you've applied well in advance). We’ll notify you as soon as a family has been found so you can connect with them over email and/or video chat to make sure that you’re both happy with the match. Most placements are in Paris suburbs and the south of France but other regions are sometimes possible.
If volunteering at a school, you’ll also receive your school placement with contact information for a coordinator.
Once confirmed, we’ll provide all of the next steps, such as when to book your flight, where to purchase travel health insurance, and how to prepare to be an English teacher and live abroad. We’ll also provide helpful resources for teaching in France and connecting with other participants.
3. Travel and Teach
Your host family will pick you up from the airport or train station. They'll bring you to their home and will help to get you oriented to your new environment and your host children.
You'll also work with your family to set up a teaching schedule and will discuss how to get around the neighborhood, where to go, and what to see! Throughout your program, our French partner agency will be there to ensure your transition is smooth and fun.
If you’re teaching in a school, you’ll have a coordinator (usually the main teacher you’re assisting) to help you plan and provide feedback along the way.
