International exchange programs broaden our global awareness, empower us with intercultural connections, and provide us a lifelong connection to the international community. They are important to U.S. national security, are a great public diplomacy tool, and they also have a positive economic impact on the national and local levels.

At InterExchange, we believe that everyone should have the opportunity to participate in a meaningful intercultural experience. We also believe that speaking up for what you care about matters! With our 2019 Make a Plan campaign, we’re calling out to everyone who supports the power of international exchange to speak up!

For this campaign and many of our others, we take inspiration from the powerful advocacy work other organizations, businesses, and sectors are doing. We love to see the passion of others who are also speaking up for what matters to them. Here are five meaningful campaigns that have inspired us this year.

Patagonia Action Works

Pick from a variety of environmental causes to act upon.

ACT NOW

UNICEF USA Initiatives

Join campaigns to support the world’s vulnerable children.

ACT NOW

Charity: Water

Access to clean water leads to better health, education and women’s empowerment. It changes everything and everyone can help.

ACT NOW

American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Advocacy Center

Animals can’t speak up for themselves, that’s why they depend on us to help enact meaningful protections for them.

ACT NOW

Change.org

This platform for change enables people across geographic and cultural borders to connect and support causes they care about.
