What is it?
The SEVIS fee payment receipt is proof that you paid the required SEVIS I-901 fee (amount varies by program). SEVIS stands for Student and Exchange Visitor Information System, the U.S. government database that tracks all Exchange Visitors. It is required to apply for the J-1 Visa.
For all InterExchange programs, the SEVIS fee is included in the program fee and paid by InterExchange; participants do not pay it separately.
