Process

1. Sign Up

Complete the sign-up process through InterExchange and you’ll get a free pair of workboots on arrival! Select the “General Farm Work Programme.” Within this category there are three options:

Program Options
365-Day (up to 12 months)
88-Day + (up to 3 months)
88-Day (up to 3 months)

If you’re between 18 and 30, you’re eligible for paid work opportunities in Australia. You can start your program year-round. We recommend signing up at least three months before your desired travel date.

2. Get your visa (paid work program)

Obtain your Australian Work and Holiday Visa (462) online. It’s a quick and easy process, with a typical turnaround of about a week (though this can vary).

3. Book your flights

Once VisitOz confirms your program start-date, you can book your flight to Brisbane.

4. Arrive

You’ll have transportation from the airport to a fun hostel in one of the best beach resorts in Australia, Noosa (365 and 88-day+ programs). You and fellow participants will have four relaxing nights to recover from jetlag, connect, and experience Australia’s beautiful Sunshine Coast.

5. 5-day Farm Training

After Noosa, you’ll head to Springbrook Farm in Queensland for your 5-day, hands-on training week. The aim is to provide a general introduction to Australian farm work. You’ll learn what’s required for success in the outback, as well as useful skills.

VisitOz will assess your skills and interests and match you with jobs that best fit your experience and goals. Accommodation and meals are included during your training week.

6. Travel, work, and get paid!

Once you’re matched with an employer, VisitOz will plan and book your journey to your job site. Most jobs are seasonal. When one ends, you can contact VisitOz for another job placement or take some time to travel around Australia!
